DAY 2 – Tarangire National Park

DAY – 3 -Lake Manyara National Park-Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drive where your first encounter might be spotting large troupes of baboons. The Park boasts a spectacular array of diverse terrain as well as plant and animal species. Established specifically to protect the elephant herds that have made the area renowned, the park provides an amazing wildlife experience. … Elephants are not the only animals that Lake Manyara is famous for. Lake Manyara is a shallow alkaline lake at an altitude of 960 m (3,150 Ft.), formed in a depression in the Rift Valley System. … In extreme dry periods, the surface area of the lake shrinks as the waters evaporate and at times the lake has dried up completely. Late morning drive to the near-by village of Mto Wa Mbu for a short cultural tour. It is an intersection point for almost every existing tribe of Tanzania where each of the four Pan-African language families is represented: Bantu, Nilotic, Cushitic, and Khoisan. The name Mto wa Mbu is taken from the Swahili language and means Mosquito River which describes a small stream flowing through the village. You will have lunch with a local family thereafter continue a short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at a lodge.

DAY -4 – Serengeti National Park.

DAY 5 and 6 -Exploring Serengeti National Park.

A full day exploring the vast Serengeti with its endless plains looking for the big cats. The Serengeti hosts the largest mammal migration in the world and is a popular destination for popular African safaris. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Meals and overnight will be at a tented camp or lodge.

DAYS 7 – Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, you will a game viewing drive en-route to the Ngorongoro Highlands with the option of visiting the Oldupai Gorge Museum site that holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human life. The leaky’s found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. If time allows you may want to do a coffee tour or a cultural tour in the town of Karatu located on the Ngorongoro highlands. You will have dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day-8- Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the Largest Unbroken Calderas on the Planet with over 25,000 Wild Creatures in the Caldera More Prides Per Capita than Anywhere on Earth. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, Lions, Leopard, Black Rhino, Elephants, and Buffalo. It is one of the world’s most astonishing and among the 8th wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The black rhino can easily be sighted in the crater. Think of another place in the world where you can see such a unique setting with diverse scenery, prolific wildlife and birdlife, and an ecosystem like no other.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes, swamps, and two major rivers. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. In late afternoon ascend the crater and continue a short drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
