Booking Confirmation
To guarantee reservation clients are requested to pay a deposit 50% of the total cost soon after Safari confirmation. The balance is due until 70 days prior to arrival in Tanzania.

When to Book Your Safari - It is best to book as far in advance as possible to ensure availability of rooms and other services, especially during the peak/high season (June to February and Christmas holiday).  This is especially important for those booking custom safaris and those adding pre and post excursions. In general, a minimum of eight weeks prior to arrival should ensure first choice bookings.

Cancellation policy:

  1. To cancel any reservation, we must be notified in writing as soon as possible.
  2. Notice of cancellation is only effective when it is received in writing.
  3. In such case the following cancellation charges will be payable on accommodation and related services:
  • If cancelled 70 days and over - No charges.
  • If cancelled 69 - 40 days and under, 45% cancellation charges will apply
  • If cancelled 39 - 21 days and under, 75% cancellation charges will apply
  • If cancelled 20 days and under, 100% cancellation charges will apply
  • The unused portion of any Safari or Tour is not refundable.

Liabilities and Insurance - Bushland Adventure Travel acts only as an agent of the passenger in all matters relating to tours and accepts no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, accidental death, delay, any kind of loss, damage or irregularity of any kind, which may be occasioned by any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation, any act of negligence or breach of contract of any third party such as a hotel or airline, who is to, or does supply, any goods or services for business.

Therefore, we recommend that you secure, fully comprehensive travel insurance to cover yourself for any eventual loss of baggage or valuables, personal accident and medical expenses, or loss of any kind.

Transportation - Bushland Adventure Travel may, at its discretion, supply Land Cruisers, minibuses or other suitable transport subject to weather and terrain conditions (a request for a specific type of vehicle will be considered).   All tours start and end in Arusha or Dar Es Salaam; in case of any other originating or finishing location clients must advise Bushland well in advance of arrival or departure.

Price Range - Price quotations are inclusive of transport while on safari, camping or lodge/hotel accommodation changes, specified meals, park fees, and driver guides.  Quotations do not include hotel expenses prior to and at the termination of the tour, alcoholic drinks, tips or any other items not mentioned in the quotation.  Our package prices range according to the mode of transportation, type of accommodation, camping style (standard or luxury), and lodge/hotel rate from 1-5 star.

Credit Card Payment - Unfortunately, Bushland Adventure Travel does not accept any credit card payments for booking/tour deposits or payments. All deposits, prepayments and final payment due 30 days prior to departure are payable via bank transfer/wire to Bushland Adventure Travel.

Camping Safaris - Prices for camping safaris per trip will depend on the number of people in your group. The maximum number is a 4WD vehicle, excluding the Driver Guide, is four.  Since the primary purpose of your journey is to admire the spectacular scenery and wildlife, we arrange for every client to be next to a window, and when necessary, we will arrange for an extended vehicle to ensure window seats for all.

Accommodations - Bushland Adventure Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels/lodges, tent camps named in the itinerary, when absolutely necessary.  Avoid unexpected accommodation changes by booking early. This helps guarantee your first choice - at least 45-60 days before the safari.

Additional Costs - Safari packages include all accommodations and meals while on safari, airport transfers, park fees and services of Bushland guides and drivers.  It is customary to tip your Driver Guide, lodge staff, as well as Cook or Camp staff (if you are camping) during your safari.  You will also pay for your own beverages and personal expenses like laundry service or phone.  You are also responsible for any passport, visa or entry fees.  We highly recommend that you purchase travel protection insurance. If you foresee indulging in the purchase of many delightful Tanzania crafts or souvenirs, budget accordingly.
